- Planning Committee on "ChAMP, [Chinese American Mentorship Program]" a summer program designed to expose middle-school students to historical & literary themes in Chinese American Studies. The intent is to train SFSU students to serve as instructors/facilitators. Pilot launched Summer 2001 in SF Chinatown. Served as Faculty Mentor & Principal Monitor.
- Repeal Conference Planning Committee, a joint conference sponsored by Asian American Studies, SFSU and the Chinese Historical Society of America. Activities included overall planning and logistic coordination, communications with panelists and convenors, and computer graphics work for program and other materials. Additional assigned time received to serve as the faculty-advisor for student activities--a project developed in conjunction with the general conference to outreach and provide a special program about the repeal for high school students. 1994.
