Dr. Tina Takemoto will be a guest speaker in Professor Ueunten's "Japanese American Art and Literature" course on November 3rd 2015 at 5:00pm in BH 352. She is a Professor of Visual Studies at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco where she specializes in race, queer identity, memory and grief. She is currently working on a project that examines the queer sexualities of Japanese Americans incarcerated during World War Two. She is also the co-founder of Queer Conversations on Cultures and Arts, as well as the board president of the Queer Cultural Center.
