Chinese American Study Tour in China

AAS 612 (formerly 629)–Travel Study in China
AAS 612 was first offered through the College of Extended Learning in Summer 2000 (please read Marlon Hom’s “Going ‘Back’ to Where Our Ancestors Came From” for a history of the course and its guiding principles). Photos provide recent examples of where and what participants go and do in the travel study program. In November 2012, a group of AAS faculty took a mini “AAS 612” tour while attending a conference in Jiangmen. Depending on interest (a minimum enrollment of eight is preferred), the study tour takes place during the winter or summer break for two to three weeks. Partial financial aid might be also available.
